LOCATION
The drive from the airport is 30 minutes in good weather and even in a bad snowstorm the road will be open. There are numerous transport companies that run buses to Park City at roughly 30 minute intervals in the winter at a cost of around $32 per person. Summer van schedules are less frequent and a prior booking is highly recommended. Park City has a very good, free, intra-town bus service that runs right by the condo every 20 minutes and goes to all the resorts as well as Main St. and the Factory Outlet Stores. Nevertheless, you may want to consider a rental car: it is often -20 degrees at night and you may not like waiting for the bus after dinner. Throw in a trip to Alta or Snowbird and a car starts to make sense.
There are around fifty
eating establishments in
Park City,
ranging from burger joints to very
high standard restaurants. The seafood buffet in Snow Park Lodge at Deer Valley
is Shopping abounds, both in Main St and at the nearby Outlet Mall. The Outlet Mall offers over fifty name brand stores and very good prices. If you are visiting in March, the local ski shops all have huge sales. Our Park City condo, in the 'Payday' complex, is very well situated, only 100 yards from the new Silver Star Chairlift at Park City Mountain Resort and around one mile from Main St. The other nearby ski areas, Deer Valley Resort and The Canyons are both around three miles away. If you are a cross-country skier the Golf Course becomes an excellent 12km trail in the Winter, and is just out the back door.
